Process of a Section 32 assessment
The general process to complete a Section 32 assessment and report is as follows;

Make an online referral to Treibh

Once initial admin is completed the assessor will contact all parties.

Meeting with the parent that the child/children primarily reside with.

Meeting with the other parent.

Meetings with the child/children:
-
in their primary residence.
-
with each parent for observation if appropriate for the child/children.

in a neutral or preferred setting for the child/children.

Report is completed.

Submission of report to the court.

Graduated in 2012 from UCC with Social Work honours degree. Worked with children with disabilities. Currently Independent Social Worker working with Borough Councils in the UK doing Special Guardianship Assessments for children in care in the UK that have relations in Ireland. Also doing adoption assessments for PACT the adoption agency. Is an Authorised person for the Adoption Authority of Ireland. Is a registered teacher with Teaching Council of Ireland. Member of IASW and CoramBAFF adoption/fostering and Kinship in the UK.

An Independent Social Worker and Psychotherapist, specialising in court-directed family assessments. CORU-registered and IACP-accredited, she provides Section 32 (1)(a) & (1)(b) reports, Section 47 assessments, and expert evidence to the family courts. With a background spanning frontline child protection, all areas of clinical social work, and therapeutic practice, she brings a balanced, child-centred approach to complex family cases. Known for her clear analysis, practical insight, and strong adherence to best-practice standards within the Irish family-law system.
